摘要

An identification, simulation, and control procedure which gives digital computers and modeling a major role in industrial applications of identification and control theory is described. Starting from an experimental design used to study an arbitrary unknown system, the procedure includes model structure determination, parameter estimation, model validation with feedback to model structure, and final model acceptance. The case of a diesel engine is detailed. The multiple input multiple output model includes the use of Kalman filter equations. Good agreement between predicted and experimental transient behavior is shown.
