摘要

Tests on spacecraft materials were carried out using ultraviolet irradiation either with 45 deg or normal incidence with Sun equivalent intensity of 4 times the equivalent with normal incidence. The duration of irradiation was up to 800 hr cumulative solar intensity. The comparison of results with those of previous tests shows that materials damage prediction in space can be deduced from data with a certainty of 0.025 for reflecting white paints and fabrics and up to 0.005 for metallized FE polymers. Results can show however large deviations which are difficult to explain. These abnormal results are discussed.
