Land Mobile Satellite Communication System. Volume 1. Executive Summary

The economic value and salient technical and operational characteristics of a European Land Mobile Communication Satellite (LMCS), able to complement and supplement the demand for mobile services of Western European countries members of CEPT, foreseeable in the 1995-2005 time frame were evaluated. The expected traffic and markets for an LMCS were assessed. The satellite role was studied.
