摘要

Ion Cyclotron Radio Frequency (ICRF) second harmonic heating of a single-species plasma is studied by using a 1 to 1.5 dimensional quasi-neutral hybrid code. Mode conversion, transmission, and reflection of the magnetosonic waves are confirmed, both for the high- and low-field-side excitations. The ion heating by waves propagating perpendicularly to the static magnetic field is also observed.
