15 cm Aperture Led Scintillometer for C(N) Sup 2 and Crosswind Measurements

摘要

An optical scintillometer to measure the refractive index structure parameter and the wind speed across the transmission path was built. The device uses a light emitting diode at 0.94 micrometer as a light source and simple semiconductor light detectors. Results on a test path of 449 m are good, despite scatter.
