Some Proposed Enhancements to the NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) Langley 13-Inch Magnetic Suspension and Balance System. Final Report, November 16, 1986-September 30, 1987

The NASA Langley Research Center 13 inch Magnetic Suspension and Balance System (MSBS) is operational. However, several hardware additions and upgrades are still required in order to pursue the presently planned test program with high data quality. The planned or implemented enhancements in three areas are detailed, namely the aerodynamic and structural design of the test section leg, provision of a dummy support system, and software for data presentation.
