Modelagem Do Funcionamento de Um Sistema de Jatos de Gas Frio Para Controle de Atitude de Satelties (Functional Model for a System of Cold Gas Jets for Attitude Control Satellites)

A model for a cold jet system to provide attitude control for satellites is presented. The model includes on and off transient periods, in which the control valve exerts the major influence. Consequently, this valve is studied in detail, with an electromagnetic analysis of its actuation. From the model is derived the graphics of the principle parameters related to the control valve, and of the thrust produced by one of the system's micromotors. Then, a simulation is made of the desaturation maneuver of the reaction wheel and of the attitude changing maneuver.
