Great Leap Upward: China's Human Spaceflight Program and Chinese National Identity

摘要

This paper explores the nature of the Chinese national identity in the early 21st century, and how that identity may be bolstering the Chinese Space program. China sees the development of its space program as reflecting the comprehensive national strength and as an indication of China's growth in science and technology.
