Logical Input Devices and Interaction

摘要

The functionality provided by the logical input device model when brought in conjunction with interaction is questioned. The logical input device model does not support the notion of input/output symmetry: the input model is completely separated from the corresponding graphical output model. It is shown that the ad hoc relationships provided by the graphics kernel system that interrelate these two models are insufficient. Suggestions based on the notion of input/output-symmetry, to improve the input model, are made.
