Problema de Reparo de Maquinas COM Um Numero Variavel de Servidores Diferentes (Problem of Machine Repair with a Variable Number of Heterogeneous Servers)

A maintenance system is considered consisting of a finite number of identical machines working in parallel at the production facility, a finite number of spare machines, and a repair facility with a finite number of heterogeneous servers. The system is observed at repair completion epochs and/or machine breakdown epochs. At these epochs a decision has to be made about which servers should be activated until the next decision epoch. The cost structure includes lost production costs, repair costs, holding costs, idleness costs, and switch-over costs. The objective is to determine the control policy which minimizes the long-run expected average cost per unit time.
