It is shown that it is possible to control the stability of the energy calibration of the detector at a level which matches its performance. The best energy resolution observed in a prototype of the detector is of the order of 0.5 percent. The pedestal calculation method, beam momentum knowledge, (pre)amplifier gain recalibration, temperature sensor utilization, and status of the 10 * 10 matrix in terms of bad channels are reviewed. The method used for taking into account the correction due to light collection efficiency which changes the crystal light yield as a function of the uniformity and energy is outlined. Calibration constant dependence on sample size, temperature, energy, integration length and time stability is shown. Calorimeter energy resolution and the requirement for the half barrel enterprise are considered.
