Millimetric wave resonant cavities for contactless humidity measurements; detection of laminar-turbulent transition by infrared thermography; numerical solution of the Navier-Stokes equations by a multigrid method; an upwind scheme for computing supersonic flows around a tactical missile; and computation of the pressure in an incompressible rotational flow of inviscid fluid are discussed.
