摘要

The response of an axially excited cylindrical liquid column consisting offrictionless and incompressible liquid was investigated for a harmonic excitation. The column is located between two discs such that the free liquid surface exhibits there a stuck edge boundary condition. Free surface displacement and velocity response were determined. In addition the transient behavior of the liquid by the change of the axial excitation from one excitation amplitude and forcing frequency to another one was studied. The results shall be used for the efficient planning of the 'LICORE' experiments in the second German Spacelab mission (D-2).
