Rewrite Approach to Polynomial Ideal Theory

摘要

A self contained introduction is given to the theory of Groebner bases whichprovide algorithmic solutions to many problems in polynomial ideal theory. The basic theory of Groebner bases is explained from a term rewriting point of view, and by abandoning the usual distributive normal form, representation of polynomials is shown to lead to a considerable simplification of the theory.
