Reliability Analysis of a Repairable Dependent Parallel System

A study to develop a stochastic model to describe a system's failure behavior isreported. The systems analyzed are thought of as industrial machinery, equipment, or products. Basic stochastic models in reliability theory are introduced. Systems with bivariate exponentially distributed life times, phase type distributed life and repair times, and bivariate phase type distributed life times are studied. An opportunistic replacement policy for the two unit dependent parallel system, in continuous time and at component level, is described. The gradual deterioration of the parallel system is considered.
