Last year's progress in the design and development of optical receivers for phased array antenna systems is summarized. The report consists of summaries of work in three main areas: metal-semiconductor-metal (MSM) photodetectors, heterojunction bipolar transistors (HBT's), and optical receivers. In each case design, fabrication and characterization results are summarized.
