Results of tests to determine the variation in calibration factor and gage resistance with temperature are presented for 15 types of single element, multistrand wire strain gage.nThe maximum difference between the calibration factors for gages of a given type at temperatures between -73° and 93° C and the factor at room temperature did not exceed 4 percent for 13 of 15 types of gage tested. The calibration factor decreased or remained constant with increasing temperature for all but two types of gage, which showed an increase.
