摘要

The change from sharp to inlet nose while maintaining the same afterbody shape decreased the drag—rise Mach number from 0.94 to 0.90.nThe general nature of the pressure—drag variation with Mach number for slender bodies of revolution in the transonic range is tentatively proposed from consideration of the separate drag contributions of front and rear ends.
