On the Integrating Comb Method as applied to Profile Drag Results in the Compressed Air Tunnel

Drag measurements obtained by pitot traverse in the Compressed Air Tunnel are compared with those that would have been given by an integrating comb and with those given by generalised curves due to Young (R. & M. 22571). Agreement is good-ih general, but as the errors due to using approximate methods can be anything up to 3 per cent., these would not be accurate enough to determine small differences in drag coefficients.
