Report on the Accident to Bell 47-Dl, G-ATSF at Elsham Golf Course, near Brigg, Lincolnshire on 31st May, 1966

The helicopter was being used to spray weed killer on the fairways of Elsham golf course. Just before reaching a clump of tall trees the aircraft commenced a steep climbing turn to the left during which it be-came inverted and dived to the ground. The aircraft caught fire on impact and was destroyed. The pilot was killed.
