The objectives of this study have been met by establishing the feasi¬bility of a mechanically deployable radiometric system for use in the Nimbus spacecraft program.nThe Space Division conducted a study to improve the mixer and IF amplifier on the microwave instrument. The purpose of the study was to sig¬nificantly improve the instrument performance for possible application on Nimbus E spacecraft.nThe study was centered on increasing the bandwidth and decreasing the noise figure for the mixer and amplifier and covered the following tasks listed by item number.
