Translative interface for data sharing and integrating: A paradigm for distributed data systems.

Typically, applications are built only after the database schema is available. To enable the application designer/programmer with the tools necessary to forge ahead without having to wait for the data schema definition, a change from traditional methodologies must take place. This paper proposes an alternate design methodology intended to bring applications on-line as soon as possible. We will look at using Inmon's paradigm for decision support systems and tie it together with Martin's subject databases used in a distributed data system.
