FEL integral equation and electron energy loss in intermediate gain regime

The FEL pendulum equation in a intermediate gain small signal regime is investigated. By calculating the energy loss of the electron beam in terms of the solution of the pendulum equation, we confirm the consistency of the FEL equation in intermediate gain regime. (author). (ERA citation 19:022269)
