Intermediate-range forces operating in the weak conversion process (Lambda) N (yields) N N are investigated. Contribution of correlated two-pion exchange is calculated. Two-pion forces affect most noticeably weak (Lambda) N (yields) N N transitions where experimental data point out violations of the (Delta)I = 1/2 rule. 17 refs., 2 figs., 2 tabs.
