摘要

A novel type of x-ray diffractor based on a pseudo-spherical stepped geometry is proposed. Theoretical parameters of three possible devices based on this geometry, a high-post monochromator for spin-dependent x-ray absorption, a x-ray micro analyser and a x-ray photoelectron spectrometer for chemical analysis (ESCA) are discussed. The efficiency of this flexible optical scheme for each one of these x-ray devices is calculated and found to improve substantially the existing devices based on the spherical geometry.
