摘要

This feasibility study deals with cogeneration of heat and power in a textile company. The study was undertaken as a Minor Field Study in Bangkok, Thailand. The gas turbine and the gas engine are identified as the most suitable techniques, due to low initial investment cost, high reliability and high power to heat ratio. An alternative with a gas turbine and double-effect absorption chiller shows the best profitability and a very high EUF, 0.82. The NPV of this investment is 364 million Baht corresponding to an IRR of 41.52% The gas engine alternative generates approximately the same profitability, but the EUF is lower. The gas engine will become even more attractive if some of the steam can be replaced by hot water in the process. To sum up: Both alternatives are technically feasible and the profitability is so high that a more thorough detail study should be undertaken. 30 refs, 19 figs, 22 tabs
