Particle production from the colour field of interacting strings, fragmentation of a colour rope

The fragmentation of a multi-string colour field with interaction (colour rope) has been studied based on a generalization of the well-known Lund String Fragmentation model. The results from its Monte Carlo simulations are presented and discussed. The model reproduces the results of the fragmentation of independent strings when the interaction vanishes. 5 refs, 3 figs.
