Q-deformation of ''W(sub 3)'', Virasoro and U(1)-Kac-Moody algebras

A deformation of the algebra of infinite matrices gl((infinity), C) is given. We show that this operation leads to the realization of a deformed ''W(sub 3)'' like algebra.
