摘要

Inverse scattering theory has been used to define effective local electron-methane interaction potentials. The WKB approximation has been used to determine those interactions. That approximation has been used also to effect (fixed energy) inversion of differential cross-section data from electron-methane scattering for energies of 200, 300, 500, and 700 eV. There is little evidence of absorption effects being necessary in analyses of the data sets for e-CH4 elastic scattering considered herein. 15 refs., 1 tab., 5 figs. (Atomindex citation 27:020963)
