Fusion of nuclei and a novel fusion path to superheavies

The dynamical limitations of evaporation-residue formation in the fusion of heavy nuclei are reacalled. On this basis the formation of superheavies from two rare-earth nuclei is discussed. (orig.) (ERA citation 20:020150)
