FENDL-1 is the international reference nuclear data library for fusion design applications, available from the IAEA Nuclear Data Section. FENDL/E is the sublibrary for evaluated neutron reaction data. An updated version, FENDL-2, is being developed. The present report contains the Summary of the IAEA Consultants' Meeting on ''Selection of Basic Evaluations for the FENDL-2 Library'', held at Karlsruhe, Germany, from 24 to 28 June 1996. This meeting was organized by the IAEA Nuclear Data Section (NDS) with the co-operation and assistance of local organizers of the Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe, Germany. Summarized are the conclusions and recommendations for the selection of basic evaluations from candidates submitted by five national projects (JENDL-FF, BROND, EFF, ENDF/B-VI and CENDL) for FENDL/E-2.0 international reference data library.
