This quarterly report covers activities during the period from October 1, 1995 through December 31, 1995. The principal events concerning administration of the Carbon Products Consortium (CPC) were the December 12, 1995 Fall business meeting of the CPC and the general CPC review meeting on December 13, 1995. Discussions have been initiated on licensing and joint venture arrangements to produce pilot-scale quantities of solvent extract coal pitches. The technical emphasis continues to be the supply of coal-based feedstocks to the industrial participants. There have been several iterations of samples and feedback to meet feedstock characteristics for a wide variety of carbon products.
