Hyperfine interactions in the intermetallic system Ce(Fe(sub 1-x) Al(sub x) )(sub 2) Al-rich side

Investigations of the hyperfine interactions of the Ce(Fe(sub 1-x) Al(sub x))(sub 2) system in the Al rich side for 0.60 (<=) x (<=) 1.0 have been performed using Moessbauer spectroscopy at room temperature and 4.2 K, under applied magnetic fields B(sub a) (<=) 4.5 T. The spectra can be analyzed in terms of two components, D1 and D2; the former one is associated to the Fe in Ce(Fe(sub 1-x) Al(sub x))(sub 2) and D2 to the spurious phase Ce(sub 2)(Fe(sub 17-x) Al(sub x)) that appears in small amount, but is strongly magnetic.
