Design considerations and expectations of a very large hadron collider

The ELOISATRON Project is a proton-proton collider at very high energy and very211u001elarge luminosity. The main goal is to determine the ultimate performance that is 211u001epossible to achieve with reasonable extrapolation of the present accelerator 211u001etechnology. A complete study and design of the collider requires that several 211u001esteps of investigations are undertaken. The authors count five of such steps as 211u001eoutlined in the report.
