摘要

Specific absorbed fractions (SAF) in various 'target' organs of the body originated from monoenergetic photons in various other 'source' organs were obtained by using voxel anthropomorphic phantoms of a 7-year-old child and a 8-week old baby (CHILD, BABY) together with Monte Carlo codes. These SAFS can be used in calculating the photon contribution of the dose equivalent rate in a given target organ from a given radionuclide which is present in a given source organ. Extensive tables of SAFs for several source and target organs of the BABY and CHILD and for 20 energies between 20 keV and 4 MeV are given in the Appendix. These data can be used in particular to assess individual patient doses, if individual biokinetic data are provided. On the basis of these SAF values and by using software specially developed for this purpose, calculations of organ and effective doses per incorporated activity were performed for some radiopharmaceuticals. Tables are shown for (sup 99)Tc(sup m) pertechnetate, (sup 123)I and (sup 131)I iodide, (sup 111)I antimyosin and (sup 15)O water. It was aim of this work firstly to compare the results derived from this method to those based on mathematical phantoms and therefore to test the applicability of the method and quantify its advantages; secondly, to complement the data of ICRP 53.
