Technical assistance to Paernu municipality EIB project management from the second quarter of 1996 to the first quarter of 1997

This report is a summary of the progress of the rehabilitation of the Paernu District Heating system. The report is prepared for evaluation by the Danish Energy Agency of the technical assistance by Carl Bro a/s, Energy and Environment. Rehabilitation of the district heating system in Paernu is implemented in order to reduce costs for energy consumption for consumers i Paernu/Estonia. The Paernu District Heating Rehabilitation project comprises rebuilding and modernization of the existing District Heating Enterprise and in this way to reduce the consumer price. Furthermore, part of the fuel consumption from imported oil is converted to local fuel products, mainly peat and wood chips. The foreign Technical Assistance to the project is grant financed by the Danish Government through the Danish Energy Agency. (EG)
