Industrial Sites Work Plan for Leachfield Corrective Action Units: Nevada Test211 Site and Tonopah Test Range, Nevada

This Leachfield Corrective Action Units (CAUs) Work Plan has been developed in211u001eaccordance with the Federal Facility Agreement and Consent Order (FFACO) that was 211u001eagreed to by the U.S. Department of Energy, Nevada Operations Office (DOE/NV); 211u001ethe State of Nevada Division of Environmental Protection (NDEP); and the U.S. 211u001eDepartment of Defense (FFACO, 1996). Under the FFACO, a work plan is an optional 211u001eplanning document that provides information for a CAU or group of CAUs where 211u001esignificant commonality exists. A work plan may be developed that can be 211u001ereferenced by leachfield Corrective Action Investigation Plans (CAIPs) to 211u001eeliminate redundant CAU documentation. This Work Plan includes FFACO-required 211u001emanagement, technical, quality assurance (QA), health and safety, public 211u001einvolvement, field sampling, and waste management documentation common to several 211u001eCAUs with similar site histories and characteristics, namely the leachfield 211u001esystems at the Nevada Test Site (NTS) and the Tonopah Test Range (TTR). For each 211u001eCAU, a CAIP will be prepared to present detailed, site-specific information 211u001eregarding contaminants of potential concern (COPCs), sampling locations, and 211u001einvestigation methods.
