In this paper we present a study of the photodissociation dynamics for NO(sub 2)211u001ein the region of 221-226 nm using velocity map imaging (VELMI) in conjunction 211u001ewith resonance enhanced multiphoton ionization (REMPI). We chose this region 211u001ebecause it allowed us to use a single laser to photodissociate and probe the NO 211u001eand O((sup 3)P) products using REMPI. Probing the angular and energy 211u001edistributions of both fragments under state resolved conditions allows for 211u001edetailed investigations of the product state distributions in the 211u001ephotodissociation dynamics of NO(sub 2).
