Green taxes, agreements and joint implementation

This publication relates to greenhouse gas emissions from the process industry in Norway. The process industry takes the independent threat to the climate seriously, and is prepared to reduce its emissions insofar as possible within the applicable parameters of technology and economy. At present, these efforts are organized through negotiated greenhouse gas agreements between the various branches of the process industry and the Norwegian Ministry of the Environment. A prime example is the aluminium industry's greenhouse gas agreement, which was signed in June this year
