Walkdown Results from RARA Projects 256 'Higher Priority' New Sites

This report presents the results from walkdowns and reviews of 256 'Higher211u001ePriority' waste sites that were assigned to the Environmental Restoration 211u001eContractor (ERC) and the Radiation Area Remedial Action(RARA) Project. The 211u001eobjective of this activity was to obtain background information on each new site, 211u001eobserve and document the 'pre-existing' condition of the site, identify potential 211u001ehazards or issues observable at the sites, propose a surveillance and maintenance 211u001ebase, identify any conditions in need of immediate corrective actions, record the 211u001ecoordinates of the site using Global Positioning System and, using a digital 211u001ecamera, obtain a current photograph of the site. It was not the objective of this 211u001eactivity to perform a detailed and complete evaluation of all real or potential 211u001ehazards or issues related to these sites.
