Novel Method of Converting Sulfur Dioxide in Coal Utilization Process to211 Marketable Sulphones: Faculty/Student Development

摘要

The main objective of this study was to develop a Faculty/Student Exploratory211u001eActivity in Environmental Engineering. This activity was carried out by using low-211u001ecost organic compounds to convert pollutants in coal utilization process to 211u001emarketable sulphones. Although the research of sulphones in organic synthesis is 211u001eonly about 20 years young and has never been introduced to the application of 211u001eindustrial pollution researches, the products sulphones have enormous value in 211u001emany of the most demanding organic synthesis.
