A series of impact recovery experiments have been conducted on dry, water-211u001esaturated (wet), and water-pressurized Berea sandstone samples using a single 211u001estage light gas gun. The samples are subjected to various stress levels using a 211u001eflyer plate impact. The recovered samples provide a large database of Scanning 211u001eElectron Microscope (SEM) images depicting the damage. Laser particle size 211u001eanalyses are also being conducted on portions of the recovered samples to 211u001echaracterize changes in grain size distribution. We present the characteristics 211u001eof the recovered samples using the SEM for selected examples for each of the 211u001eexperimental categories. We also present some preliminary statistical analysis of 211u001ethe SEM images of the samples to assess variations in damage.
