摘要

The stress-strain responses of a half-hardened copper and an annealed tantalum as211u001ea function of temperature and strain-rate were investigated. The rate-dependent 211u001eyield stress and work-hardening behavior were described satisfactorily by the 211u001eMechanical Threshold Strength (MTS) model which is based on thermally-activated 211u001eplasticity and evolution. Excellent agreement was obtained comparing experiments 211u001eand calculations of Taylor cylinder impact tests.
