Linking Damage Models to Quantified Experimental Meso-Scopic Damage Measurements

摘要

This paper describes the techniques that we employ and are developing incapturing, measuring, and describing the evolution of dynamic damage accumulation in metals, from the first nucleation event up to final failure surface formation. These measurements are used in damage model development, verification, and validation. Ta and Cu quantification examples are given.
