摘要

Principal factor analysis has been used to interpret sets of Gel PremeationChromatography (GPC)/Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) data to provide insight into degradation mechanisms of a binder system used in PBX9501 high explosive formulations. The sample employed in this study was a binder consisting of Estane 5703, a eutectic blend of BDNPA and BDNPF, and Irganox 1010, prepared by solvent casting. Samples of the binder were placed above a radioactive source, in a laboratory oven held at 45 deg C, and in a laboratory freezer. The samples were aged for nineteen months.
