摘要

The present paper reports on accurate XRD measurements following changes of (beta)-HMX to (delta)-HMX at elevated temperature. The results are compared for sample with 2 different grain sizes for HMX. We report accurate temperature dependent lattice parameters and hence volume and linear thermal expansion coefficients along each crystallographic axis. We have also conducted kinetic studies of the behavior of 2 grain-sizes of HMX and concluded that their kinetics, are drastically different.
