摘要

The exchange adsorption of cations by the synthetic resin, Amberlite IR-1, was found to obey the law of mass action (a) when the activities of the solid phase components were expressed in terms of their mole fractions; (b) when the thermodynamic activities of the ions in the equilibrium solution were employed; and (c) when the anionic portion of the adsorbent, R, was taken as monovalent.
