HEAT TRANSFER EXPERIMENTS WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO THE THERMAL RESISTANCE OF ANODIZED LAYERS

Measurements of heat transfer coefficients were made for polished and anodized aluminum surfaces with water cooling. The specimens were in the form of 11 iameter tubes, 12" long, steam heated on the inside and with the cooling water passing through an annular gap about wide between the tube and a Pyrex jacket.
