A number of beryllium reds and flats were made by extrusion. Attempts at making tubing were a failure, however. The recrystallization of forged and extruded beryllium is being studied.nSolid solution alloys of beryllium with copper or nickel gave tensile strengths as high as coo p.s.i., but the ductility was dess than that of pure beryllium. Work on alloys of uranium with beryllium and iron with beryllium is still in progress.nSpecimens of distilled beryllium and beryllium made by the zirconium reduction process have been extruded and will be tensile tested for comparison with ordinary beryllium.
