Stack Gas Decontamination: Separations Plants

摘要

As a result of the findings of the Health Instrument Department concerning the active particle hazard in the 200 Areas, it became necessary to inaugurate a two-fold program designed to eliminate the hazard immediately and determine the source of the particles and the activity which they carry. Due to the time required for design, fabrication and installation of suitable filters with necessary remote operation features, the investigation into the source of the particles yielded results before the design work on the filters was completed, it became possible to attack the problem by removing the source of the particles through replacement of the iron duct work. 5 refs.
